Online Driver Manual Course: Important Information

Please read the following information carefully before registering for the course.

You are required to take this 8-hour online driver manual course because you have failed the learner’s permit or renewal test three times. Completion of this course is mandatory before you can retake the test. The Virginia DMV has reviewed and licensed this online course, which is available to all ages.

Eligibility Requirements

Under Age 18:

  • You must complete the Driver Education Classroom Course (36 sessions, 50 minutes each) before registering for this online course.
  • To enroll, you must provide proof of completing the classroom component. Contact us at 804-429-9686 or email [email protected] for instructions on how to submit proof.
  • Do not register if you have not completed the 30-hour online Driver Education course.

Age 18 or Older:

  • You can register for this course if you have failed the Learner’s Permit test three times. Proof of completing Driver Education is not required.

Course Cost and Payment

  • The course costs $150.
  • Payments are accepted via PayPal, or credit/debit cards.
  • All sales are final—no refunds.

Instructions for Completing the Online Course and Final Exam

Registration:
  • After payment, click “Return to Merchant” to be redirected to the course homepage.
  • Click the “Click Here to Register!” button on the left side of the page.
  • Select your course, complete the registration form, and submit your information.
Course Progress:
  • The course is divided into sessions, each followed by a quiz. Passing each quiz allows you to proceed to the next session.
  • You can exit and re-enter the course at any time using the link provided in your registration email, which will allow you to continue from where you left off.
Final Exam:
  • After completing all sessions and review quizzes, you can take the final exam, which consists of 50 multiple-choice questions.
  • A score of at least 80% (40 correct answers) is required to pass.
  • Results are provided immediately, and if you do not pass, you may retake the course online for free until you do.

Additional Information

Technical Requirements:
  • You must be comfortable working independently and using a computer.
Certificate Requirements:
  • The certificate must be printed on 8½” x 11” plain white bonded paper. The DMV will not accept certificates printed on colored or specially designed paper, or with any form of advertisement.
