Online Driver Manual Course: Important Information

Course Requirement:

• Required if you have (failed the learner’s permit or renewal test 3 times)
• Must be completed before you can retake the test
• Approved and licensed by the Virginia DMV
• Available for *all ages

Eligibility Requirements:

Under Age 18:

• Must complete (Driver Education Classroom Course (36 sessions, 50 minutes each))
• Must provide *proof of completion* before registering

Do NOT register (if 30-hour Driver Education course is not completed)

Age 18 or Older

• Can register after failing permit test 3 times.
• No Driver Education proof required.

Course Cost & Payment

• Course fee: $150

Registration Steps:

• Submit payment
• Click (Return to Merchant) after payment

• Select course and complete registration form
• Check email (including spam) for course access link

Course Progress

• Course divided into (sessions with quizzes)
• Must pass each quiz to move forward
• Can log in/out anytime and (resume where you left off)

Final Exam

• 50 multiple-choice questions
• Must score (80% (40 correct answers) to pass)
• Results are provided immediately
• If failed

Can retake course and exam online for free

Certificate Requirements

• Certificate will be emailed within (2 business days)

Must be printed on:

• 8½” x 11” plain white paper

DMV will NOT accept

• Colored paper
• Special designs
• Advertisements

• Must be comfortable using a computer
• Must be able to work independently
